Preston Mitchum is an American Queer Advocate/Activist/Attorney/Professor who happens to be among the cast members of Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard. This show premiered on the 7th of May 2023 on Bravo TV. Aside from his role on the show, he is an Adjunct Professor of Law at American University Washington College of Law.

Mitchum attended Trotwood-Madison High School in Trotwood, Ohio, and graduated with a High School Diploma in the year 2004. After High School, he went on to join Kent State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. There, he concentrated on Public Policy.

Afterward, he went on to pursue his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina. Back in the year 2010, he became student body president, and later on in 011, he graduated cum laude.

During the fall of 2011, he went on to enroll at American University, Washington College of Law for his Master of Law Degree in Law and Government. There, he concentrated on Constitutional Law and Civil Rights along with a specialization in gender and law.

Mitchum happens to be among the cast members of the show, Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard. He is usually an attorney by day and a social butterfly by night as he makes time for it all. Being a former prom king, he has an extensive resume that doesn’t end with an attorney. He is also an activist and adjunct professor. He has also appeared in cable news shows as a contributor. This is in addition to being published across countless media outlets for his political and legal expertise.

Aside from this, he has been to the Vineyard and considers it one of the most amazing and beautiful places that he has ever seen. Despite stating that he will miss Donald, his partner for about two years, he is excited to spend summer Vineyard with Jasmine and his beloved fraternity brother Silas.

Mitchum happens to be the Founder & Principal of PDM Consulting. This is a multi-purpose consulting firm that is focused on the power of Black people, LGBTQ+ people, and young people. He has also served as the director of Federal Advocacy and Government Affairs at the Trevor Project. This is the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ young people. He is also an adjunct Professor of Law at the American University Washington College of Law. ‍ Preston was the first openly LGBTQ Chair of the Washington Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and, in 2021, was voted D.C.’s Most Committed Activist by Washington Blade readers and runner-up in 2022. He has been featured in the Washington Post, BET.com, The Root, The Atlantic, Buzzfeed, CNN, and others. He was named a 2021 Rockwood Fellow for Leaders in Reproductive Health, Rights, and Justice and was named one of the 2020 Best LGBTQ Lawyers Under 40 by the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association.

Mitchum happens to be among the cast members of the Bravo TV show, Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard. This show follows a group of 12 friends while they enjoy their island getaway. Having beach parties, decadent dinners, and summer hookups, both fun and drama are in store for the young Black professionals and entrepreneurs.
