Kenneth Okonkwo is a famous Nollywood director, actor, television producer, politician, and investor. He is one of the pioneers of the Nigerian movie industry. In addition, he has also contributed immensely to the growth of Nollywood in Nigeria and abroad.

Okonkwo also joined the Nigerian Bible School where he graduated with a certificate course in theology. In 2016, he was honored with the award of Professional Fellowship Doctorate in Abuja.

Okonkwo began his professional career in the 1990s when he was featured in school plays. After that, he starred in minor roles before rising to fame in 1992 when he played the leading role in Living in Bondage. He is one of the Nollywood pioneers who are enjoying their successful acting career that has lasted for over 30 years. Besides acting, Kenneth is also a writer and producer. In 2013, he was honored with the Africa Movie Academy Award. Two years later, he was nominated by the City People Entertainment Awards for his contribution to the growth of the Nollywood industry.

In addition, Kenneth is also a political leader who completed in 2018 election although he did not secure the seat. Previously, he was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party. Okonkwo is currently working as a lawyer who represented Peter Obi at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in 2023.
