In addition, he also traveled to Puerto Rico where he covered the effects of Hurricane Maria, the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, and the Congressional baseball shooting in Virginia in 2017.

Garrett also covered President Trump’s inauguration and general elections in 2016. He also had several domestic terrorist attacks, including the knife attack at the airport in Flint, Michigan in June 2017. Tenney also covered the car/knife attack at Ohio State in November 2016 and the November 2017 terrorist attack in NYC. Furthermore, he went to Cleveland, OH where he covered the hearing of 53-year-old kidnapper Ariel Castro.
