Taft is currently working at KCAL9 in Los Angeles as a meteorologist on weekdays at 8 and 10 p.m. Before joining KCAL9 as a weather guide, she worked for KRON 4, an affiliate of the My network Television, in the San Francisco Bay Area. She was an anchor on the 7 O’clock morning show. While working at KCOY-Television, she is famously remembered for her program Military Minute, which helped her scoop the National Army Guard Appreciation. Evelyn started hosting her own show at the age of 16. She worked as a news anchor as well as a weather anchor on KCOY-TV in 2006 after her graduation. She invested her time in reporting from several Santa Barbara County Wildfires. She worked at KCOY till 2008.
During this time, she got to work in a series titled ‘Military Minute’ which grabbed Appreciation Award from the National Army Guard. In Los Angeles, she joined a crew at KCAL-TV / CBS2 in Studio City. And she has been working in KCAL9 since then.
